Collier County Senior Softball was formed in 1991 by Jim Kirby and Max Hurt. In the early days, guys would show up at Veterans Park to play the game they loved and thus the league was formed.

CCSS now has over 250 members and three divisions, AAA, Major, and  Recreational division for the 2017 season. Over 150 games were played at North Collier Park (Jan-March) including playoffs and championship games for the AAA and Major divisions. At the league picnic March 28th, Team Gargner (AAA) and Team Cline (Major) were officially crowned champions of their respective divisions. For the summer and fall, pick-up games are played every Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 8:30am at Veterans or North Collier Park.
